I first heard of it from my cousin who said it was "so damn good. I never watched it for two months but when I got seriously bored I just decided it was time. And boy was my cousin right. This film is damn good. Andy Dufrene is accused of murder due to circumstantial evidence which results in him being sent to shawshank. There he meets Red and his mates. Over the years they bond and share a powerful friendship. This film tells the triumph of the human spirit, and how hope is a good thing. The acting is top notch, direction and cinematography brilliant, and the soundtrack empathizes the film like no other can.
I seriously recommend this film to those that want to see a brilliant masterpiece.

It looks a desperate story but after a half hour you can see hopeful movie. You even feel hopeful and optimist when you finish the movie. And Its has the best final. You can see the darkness side of jail and you can see old men living a child inside, a child inside and never let him die. When you feel worst when you have no more choice you have yourself your hope and make your own destiny. It was the message that I had from that movie...
